"Last Eclipse of the Millennium" - This image has a limited edition of 100. The image has become very popular and famous across the world, listed as one of the century's best pictures. I shot the stages of the last total eclipse of the millennium in the year 1999 with my telescope. The final image is a composite of the eclipse sequence and the Blue Mosque which I shot separately at the exact moment of the eclipse. There is an NFT of the video based on this image at rarible.com/alikabas.

"Trams in Beyoglu" - I shot Trams in Beyoglu, a popular photograph, from the balcony of a cafe overlooking the part of the track where the two nostalgic trams come side by side. The cafe had a menu item for photographing from there! I ordered one coffee and one photography, and shot away...

"Topkapi" - I was shooting the scenery around the Golden Horn from the top of the Galata Tower. As the sun started to set, this view of the Topkapi Palace appeared in the distance for which I took out my telephoto lens. The fog over the Marmara Sea and the peninsula in the background completed the dreamlike setting.

"Twin Pinnacles" - I was photographing on the balcony of the Galata Tower with a view of the Golden Horn as the sky turned to deep shades of red, not a common occurrence in that part of the world.

"Medusa" - The upside down Medusa head marble sculpture was used as a column base in the Basilica Cistern underground Byzantine water reservoir in Istanbul. In the old days the cistern could only be visited by boat. Remember the scene in the James Bond film From Russia with Love? Imagine the surprise of the people who drained the water some years ago when they saw the heads. What a find!

"Boats" - I shot the many small fishing boats moored side by side in the Marmara Sea straight down from my paramotor. The colors of the ground and the green water make a nice contrast.

"Glow" - The lead panel covering on the roof of the Suleymaniye Mosque presented me with a reddish coppery reflection of the setting sun. Timing is everything!

"Bath" - Light beaming through the dome of the ancient Cemberlitas Hamam gives a mystical quality to the steaming hot Turkish Bath. I had only a few minutes before my camera equipment started to melt!
